Forum: classic_tv Subject: A question for zigoto regarding "You Asked for It" airdates

Do you know when the episode with El Brendel and the theremin demonstration aired?

I need to know for an experimental project that will probably be rated 1/5 by the only reviewer.

Any help would be appricated.

Also, thanks for the info on those two episodes....I tried searching for info on the airdates myself, but as I have the internet skills of an aardvark, I failed pathetically.

I'm not really sure, all I could find so far is:
At the end of the program they announce the "Our Gang reunion" for next week. That show took place (in the Chicago area) on March 9th ("The original Our Gang comedy group will make a guest appearance on WGN-TV DuMont's 'You Asked for it' show at 7:30pm tomorrow" - Chicago Tribune, Mar. 8, 1951). The West-East delay, regarding the Kinescope recordings, seems to be 15 days (Billboard, Jan. 20, 1951). So, my guess for the live airing would be: Feb. 15, 1951. (The air date for the 'Our Gang' show thus: Feb. 22, 1951). I hope to get that confirmed one day.
